Westcon UCC & Microsoft Lync Airlift 101 Pre-sales Workshops – 100% Attendance!

Crawley, UK, 5th June 2014 - Westcon UCC and Microsoft recently held the latest in its current series of Microsoft Lync Airlift 101 pre-sales workshops at the Westcon Academy. The workshops have proved to be extremely popular with all sessions either fully booked or over-subscribed by pre-sales, solution designers and architects.

Ralph Donohue, General Manager for the UK, Ireland & Greece, Westcon UCC commented, “The workshops have been designed to equip the developing Unified Communication resellers with the ability and confidence to design and quote for Lync Enterprise Voice solutions. We also wanted to educate existing Microsoft Communications partners on the sales potential of Lync and complementary vendor solutions from Westcon’s Lync eco-system.”

The free workshop ran over two days offering the resellers an overview of the Microsoft Lync 2013® application, its advanced architecture, deployment, replication, disaster recovery and mobility.

Items on the agenda also included:

  • The Microsoft Communications strategy and Lync business values
  • Full demonstration of Lync  and its complimentary eco-system in the recently launched Westcon UC LEAP Centre
  • Commercial elements
  •  Deployment options from Westcon’s broadest Lync eco-system in the industry including: Active Communications, Polycom, Lync Contact Centre solutions from Enghouse and Microsoft Licensing.
